The book got to my house after about 1.5 weeks, which kind of stressed me out because the school was starting in a few days.

The most practical book!

I highly recommend this book to whoever wants to understand the mechanics of the pelvis, and identify pelvic imbalances and increase awareness of the pelvis to the rest of the body, especially for physical therapists, structural bodyworkers, and movement re-educators. The author guides the reader through step by step instruction to increase awareness of body landmarks, movement, breath, and holding patterns with well-described sentences and lots of helpful illustrations.

By understanding the relationship between sitz-bones, tail bone, pubes, anterior iliac spine, femur, spine, organ, and breath, the application of this book is tremendous.

My "seeing" skill (structural assessment) is significantly enhanced and identifying muscular and movement imbalances have become much clearer and easier.

I am grateful that Eric Franklin wrote this book because I am able to help my clients with leg length discrepancy, lower back pain, foot pain, knee pain, hip pain, poor posture with a clearer understanding of mechanics, structure and movement.

Unique topic; precision exersizes and illustrations.

This book is a gem, though I agree with several reviewers that the cover illustration is a poor choice. Luckily, it was one of the few poor choices that the author allowed into this book. The sequence of exercises, the illustrations and the well constructed mental imagery make a topic that is very difficult to "wrap you head around", feel accessible. This is a difficult task because few persons that have any grasp of the material covered in this book would even attempt to teach it without a hands-on face-to-face access to a student. Teaching this material is made even more difficult since our culture imparts many social difficulties in even speaking about this portion of the anatomy.
I teach taiji and various moving meditations and have some knowledge of numerous martial arts and meditative body works that all consider subtle control of the pelvic floor muscles to be a critical step in internal energy work. Teaching or coaching a person to mentally discover, and then actively work with these muscles can be very difficult, for all the reasons Eric Franklin outlines in this book. If the only thing that I got from this book was improving my repertoire of images for working with students it would have been a great find. However, the most important aspect of this book was that I found his exercises helped me to improve my own connection with, and sensation into, these important integrators of my internal somantic space. I wish to express my sincere gratitude to the author for this book, the gratitude that a student feels towards a teacher when new learning blossoms. Thank you

In my earlier years, I was a teaching fellow in physiology and a research biochemist. I have a strong background in physiology, but later I went back to school for psychology and my studies included work in somatic psychology. I am also a meditation instructor and do a lot of public speaking on various topics related to the mind-body issue. I also use biofeedback in my practice, so these kinds of books are part of my meat and potatoes living.

In this volume, Mr. Franklin has done an EXCEPTIONAL job of describing the structure, function and importance of the pelvic area and how to strengthen and balance it. He takes a very integral approach to the connection between mind and body and the book although a bit of a difficult read for people without some background in biology is still very accessible. This accessibility is partly due to the detailed and easy to follow descriptions, organization of material and excellent diagrams that clearly illustrate key points.

This book also covers beliefs about the flow of energy through the pelvis and it's relationship to other body systems and the mind as understood by the various world's wisdom traditions. There are also good exercises to explore these concepts from the inside yourself.

I think this is a most own book for any massage therapist, athlete, dancer or yoga instructor who wants a deep understanding of the pelvis, how to strengthen it and how it contributes to the overall health of the body. This is truly a unique book and worthwhile read.

This was the very first book that I bought on my Kindle that wasn’t free. It’s short, I finished it the same day that I started it. I loved it four and a half years ago and I still love it.

It starts off the series by introducing the love interest and how quirky the small town is before introducing the readers to the main character. I really loved that the author didn’t just keep it Sarah and Damon, she brought some sisters in and Jonas, whose book I am really looking forward to.

The writing is descriptive yet simple, keeping the story to the point. It mixed realistic with magic and the way they fell in love didn’t feel rushed, maybe because they mentioned how much they talked and that they talked everyday. The connection is just so strong that I can’t be mad about how fast they fell in love.

While keeping the mystery and action and magic in the front, the author also gives the readers a little history about the Drake sisters, especially the most important part that the seventh sister will have and honestly, even though Elle’s book starts off so horribly, I think it’s got to be my favorite of the Drake Sister Series. It makes you want to stick around to see how the other sisters fall in love up to Elle’s book.

I’ve read this series so many times and I can say with absolute certainty that I will always keep coming back for more.

I started the Drake series in the middle with Oceans of Fire and then read on with Hannah's story. I thought it was a mistake starting in the middle, but after reading the first in the series I am not sure if I would have continued with the remaining books. I really enjoyed some of the later books in the Drake series, but the first was somewhat disappointing. It could be the fact that the book was rushed and crammed into 100 pages or so. For one, I thought Sarah embraced the prophecy a little too easily for someone who wanted so hard to avoid it. Two, I think Damon coped well with losing the full capabilities of his leg and hip. Personally, I would have been a little self-conscious about myself. If I was a man trying to measure up to a woman as independent and strong as Sarah I would have found that limp a little more of a problem for Damon than it was. I still think in the end he could have gotten over his pride to open up to Sarah I just thought that it happened a little too easily. Suspense is half the fun in these books and it didn't have much of it in this particular book. Three, I thought the relationship just happened so quickly even if it was a fated romance it could have developed a little more. I loved the way that I could still see the love-hate relationship between Hannah and Jonas even in the first of the series. It was a quick read and it gave me some background info on the Drakes so I do not regret reading it, but I do wish that it was longer and had more suspense.

I really loved Sarah and Damon as a couple, truly fit together and his brilliant mind able to open to the seemingly not scientifically understandable. The killer torturing triad certainly get their due, one way or another. I loved the sense of family between the sisters and her new to town man were gracefully handled, enjoy!

Fair product but not worth the price.

Disappointed. But did learn a few things. Do not feel I got equitable value from this purchase. I practice / play regularly as a beginner and struggle with making progress. Scott's approach is good, the use of Lead Sheets (versus formal musical notion) is probably the most key learning point. His video is presented as a lecture to a small classroom of students. His key point is that you don't need to spend years studying formal musical notion on the Grand Staff when using chords with your left hand and melody with your right hand will move your piano playing ability forward quickly. This is true and I got it the first time he said it but it was repeated so many times that I nearly shut it off. Two music CD's are included so you can listen and try to imitate skilled players (I get that on Pandora for free) except I cannot pause it. In all not worth the investment but in defense of this package, it is better than no source of reference and does provide basic information.

Son of Dathomir is the Rightful Incarnation of Season Six

Another reviewer said that only Clone Wars veterans need apply; however, I have only watched the first eight episodes from Season One and I loved every bit of this! The story is dark and interesting, the characters and battles are awesome, and the art is stellar. This is my first Star Wars comic book and it has already made me want more Maul and Dooku. Get it!

Let Maul Rest In Peace

Overall I have loved all things New Canon that Disney has done with the Star Wars universe, but this series is just bad. I love Darth Maul, he is one of the best parts of the prequel trilogy but in my opinion he should have stayed dead. One of the problems that I had with the old Canon was how characters, like the Emperor got brought back to life via cloning or another method. This to me cheapens the world that has been created, it lessens the stakes. That is one reason people love Game of Thrones because George R.R. Martin isn't afraid to kill off a character you love. No character is ever 100% safe.

Darth Maul could have been a great villain, I think it was a huge mistake to kill him off in Episode 1 but that was the choice George Lucas made. When The Clone Wars Series and then now Star Wars Rebels says 'oh you know what we need a cool bad guy lets just say Darth Maul lived.' it cheapens Qui Gon Jinn's death and Obi Wan's victory over Maul. It ultimately cheapens the series because now we are saying that any character can come back.

Dart Maul is one of the star wars characters that had a small part in Phantom Menace but has a tremendous back story thanks to clone wars. The art is crisp and uncluttered. I only gave it 3 stars since the story isn't over. I will definitely buy the second installment,

It's OK

I'm a huge fan of Kathy's. I think her stand-up is hilarious. She has some priceless bits, like her recollection of Brooke Shield's wedding. I stayed up all night reading this book.

Some of her revelations are entertaining and juicy, like how Tupac couldn't read, and John Hamm is a drunken lout. The biggest thing I didn't like is her celebrity worship. She gushes like a crazed fan about certain celebs as if she doesn't realize she's "one of them." She's surprised when a celeb recognizes her, but they'd have to be living under a rock to not know who she is. She's been on TV for decades, and she's known for skewering celebs. They all have to be aware of her, out of fear, if nothing else.

The book is about the “run-ins” that the comedian, actress, author and Grammy winner experienced first-hand, and you can safely vouch for its veracity. As the book’s title suggests, it is indexed painstakingly and methodically, and you have the option to pick and choose and select the entries in the book. Else, like reading any other normal book, you can start from the beginning and read it through to the end.

If you love or hate Kathy Griffin either as a person or entertainer or even writer, you’ll surely love this book which deals mostly with the relationships she had with other celebrities. Or if it can’t be called a relationship, at least it is her views about others, which may be a much more appropriate description. Grade 3-4-Poor writing, mishandled visuals, and careless production sink these series titles below acceptable standards. Space Mysteries is more carefully written than the other two, and mines a promising field, as nearly every astronomical discovery prompts new puzzles. After a strong start, though, it turns into a standard account of exploding stars, black holes, and the search for intelligent extraterrestrial life, accompanied by unexceptional art that includes a view of the solar system strewn with empty caption bubbles. Comets opens with interest-heightening accounts of the Tunguska blast and 1997's Hale-Bopp comet. However, it then goes on to offer an undifferentiated mix of photos and artists' conceptions. They include an artificially dense field of asteroids that all resemble mottled, green rock candy; a filler painting inanely captioned, "Objects, such as comets or asteroids, orbit the sun"; and, beneath the self-contradictory "Inside a stony iron meteorite," a photo of the outside of a riddled metallic meteorite misleadingly backlit so that it seems to glow from within. In Constellations, hapless young sky watchers are urged to "Look for a star shaped like a question mark the wrong way around," and are assured that "You can tell that the Hyades are closer to Earth than the Seven Sisters, because the Hyades cluster looks bigger in the sky-." Pass these up in favor of Cynthia Nicolson's Comets, Asteroids and Meteorites (1999) and other entrants in the "Starting with Space" series (all Kids Can), or Seymour Simon's space books (Morrow).
