About the Author
Clive Oxenden has taught English and trained teachers for 23 years, mainly in Spain but also in Turkey, Kuwait, Algeria, and the UK, where he was the RSA tutor at Padworth College in Berkshire. He has spent the last fifteen years teaching at the British Council, Valencia.

I love these books!

The English File series is excellent for teaching English as a second language. I've used it both in the British and American versions and I love it. The texts are engaging and the topics lead to communication in the class. The focus in phonetics, that is not found in many ESL books, helps students learn the correct pronunciation easily and the way the phonemic alphabet is presented, prepares them to look up the pronunciation of new words in the dictionary when they are not in class.

I loved this book because it has helped me a lot in my learning process. The same features activities easy to understand and dynamics. However, the lack of responses commented exercises to be an EXCELLENT book.
